Yu earned her Master's degree from the Department of Civil Engineering at McGill University and has been working as a Research Assistant there since August 2023. She's been focusing on environmental sustainability, particularly in analyzing transportation fuel lifecycles and evaluating energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions in South America. She also has contributed to assessing the environmental footprints of natural gas and electricity systems in the US and Canada.
